Frequently Asked Questions

Cost, payment, and insurance

  • $235 per month, or $2820 per year, plus a one-time registration fee of $100 in order to cover the work necessary to gather and review your records prior to your first visit. Fees can be charged monthly, quarterly or annually in advance, and it includes unlimited calls and visits – no copays and no surprise bills.

  • Your monthly membership gives you unlimited access to your primary care doctor — without extra costs or surprise bills. It typically includes:

    • Office visits with no copays

    • Extended appointment times so you’re never rushed

    • Same-day or next-day scheduling for urgent needs

    • Direct communication with your doctor by phone, text, or email

    • Routine labs, some basic office procedures

    • Help coordinating care if you need a specialist or outside services

  • There may be less commonly ordered labs, imaging, or other office tests that may incur a fee. We work with our partners to ensure the cost is as low as possible.

  • Yes!

  • We do not take insurance. Your monthly membership fee covers the cost of your primary medical care through our office.

  • We do not bill Medicare.

  • Yes.  Just like with other insurance, we do not bill Medicare directly and Medicare will not reimburse for our services. Your benefits still work for things outside of primary care needs, such as specialist care, hospital visits, labs, and imaging.

  • Increasing administrative complexity and reduced reimbursements over time from insurance companies and Medicare have created burden on physicians’ time and attention, distracting from patient care and increasing burnout rates in our field. Eliminating insurance in primary care means more time for visits, no surprise bills, and better access to your physician.

Contact and appointments

  • You will always be able to reach us within a reasonable amount of time if something important comes up. If it’s an urgent concern after hours, you’ll have a direct way to get in touch. For non-urgent questions, we may wait until the next business day to respond—this helps us keep a healthy balance and give you our best care. During regular hours, you can text, call, or email and we’ll get back to you quickly.

  • We plan to see our first patients in January of 2026. To be in touch, fill out our interest form here.

  • We are located at 190 Hanover Street in Lebanon, NH.

  • Yes.  We will work with you to determine how your concerns can be best addressed.  Sometimes a text is all that is needed; other times a phone call or video is best.  And we’re happy to see you in person, too.

  • Once you have joined our practice, we will give you our personal cell phone number so you can easily reach us by texting, calling, or email.

Care

  • Evidence-based care means your doctor makes medical decisions using the best available research, proven guidelines, and years of real-world experience—always tailored to you as an individual. Instead of relying on social media trends, pseudoscience, or “the way it’s always been done,” we use solid medical evidence to guide your care. This helps ensure the treatments and advice you get are safe, effective, and up to date.

  • We are internal medicine physicians, which are doctors for adults. We see patients ages 18 and older. We have years of experience caring for patients in their 80s and 90s as well.

  • Each patient in our practice will have one doctor who is theirs. We purposely maintain small patient panel sizes so that we have time for everyone. Rarely, if one of us is away and off the grid, the other doctor will cover.

  • We can typically care for anything you would think of calling the doctor for- and if it is something we can’t or don’t manage, we’ll let you know. We have years of experience caring for all sorts of people and helping to figure out the best ways to get you the care you need is what we do. This includes acute illness care and minor injuries, preventive care, complex chronic disease management, and women’s health.

  • Yes. We are both board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

  • Long term opiate medication is not currently the standard of care for chronic pain management. We do not prescribe opiates in this manner but are willing to work with patients toward a multifactorial plan to try to reduce chronic pain and improve functionality. This will likely include referrals to other types of clinicians (physical therapy, behavioral health, alternative medicine providers, pain specialty physicians) in addition to primary care visits.

  • Not quite. While both models focus on more personalized, accessible care through a membership-based model, concierge practices typically charge a higher annual retainer ($7000-$12,000) for premium access, in addition to billing insurance for visits. Direct Primary Care models cut insurance out entirely, operate with lower membership fees and tend to have a simpler office set up, with fewer staff and the same direct access to your physician.
