Elizabeth Wolfe, M.D.

From my days as an undergraduate at Dartmouth, I’ve recognized how special the Upper Valley is. I always imagined becoming a primary care doctor in a small town near the mountains, where I could truly get to know my patients and community. That vision brought me back to Dartmouth for medical school, and I’ve called the Upper Valley home ever since.

I’ve experienced many different hospital settings here, working with both patients and new doctors in training. Along the way, however, I've decided that I want to return to the "small-town doctor" feel that I envisioned when I started on this journey. I am so excited to work in a small practice where the doctor-patient relationship is paramount; where we have time and flexibility to deliver the care that is needed, and patients have the consistency and continuity of seeing their personal doctor who knows them well at each visit. As a board-certified internal medicine physician, I am eager to share my expertise in evidence-based primary care medicine in a way that is authentic, personal, and unencumbered by an increasingly complex healthcare system.

I have balanced my career as a physician with having many fantastic adventures with my family. My husband John also graduated from Dartmouth and works for Hypertherm. We have two young-adult children who now live in NH and VT. I continue to absolutely love living in the Upper Valley; this community has supported my family for decades now, and I feel lucky every day to live where we do. We continue to ski, hike, camp, and play outdoors as much as possible. We've had countless adventures in the White and Green Mountains which never cease to inspire me. I’ve grown to be interested in wilderness medicine; I love helping people plan for contingencies on their own adventures.
